    Solo Exhibition - 2011
Las Vegas Contemporary Arts Center – 107 E Charleston Blvd, Ste 120, Las Vegas, NV 89104

    – drywall & plywood cut from gallery walls

This project is a culmination of a weeks work, on site, at the Contemporary Arts Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is my first, formal, solo exhibition outside of the academic environment and as inspiration for the project I decided to treat the gallery space as a studio, making works that started with no plan or intent and making decisions day to day as the project evolved. Ultimately this show became a personal exploration of my aesthetics, values and personal endeavors. Through deconstructing the gallery walls and creating incomplete furniture objects I am attempting to produce or reference a domestic environment from my immediate surroundings. This has become a way for me to deal with my confusion and mixed feelings about settling in one location that I can call home.
