2011 – discarded paintings, frames, picture lights, high gloss paint
This installation was created by taking 7 discarded, framed, works of art and painting the walls around them, while they remained hung in their place. The paintings were removed from the walls and there "footprints" (dimensions) were left visible, along with their accompanying picture lights. Once the pieces were removed from the walls their frames were re-purposed and made into a usable replica of a museum bench. Visitors were allowed to use the bench to gaze upon the absence of each painting.
