**This piece produces sound by amplifying air that is produced by an electric air pump. The pump is controlled by a momentary power switch. When the switch is compressed the air pump is activated, pushing air through a series of polyethylene tubes and beer bottles. The air eventually reaches a concrete casting of my nose that has a small condenser mic mounted behind it. This condenser mic picks up the sound of the passing air and is connected to an amplifier with volume control. The audible result is similar to white noise or someone breathing on a microphone.
